Saluda Spice Oven Fried Chicken

 

Ingredients

Pam Cooking Spray

1/2 cup light buttermilk

1 2 1/2 – to 3-pound fryer, cut into pieces

2 tablespoon Saluda Spice Co. Chicken Blend

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 cups cornflakes

 

Directions

 

Preheat the oven to 425° F.

 

Spray cooking sheet to completely cover with even layer.

Rinse the chicken in cold water and pat dry, season evenly with 1/3 of Saluda Spice Co. Chicken blend. Let set in buttermilk until ready to coat with flour mixture.

 

  1. Once all the chicken pieces are placed spray with an even layer of cooking spray.

 

Bake for 20 – 25 minutes, lower the heat to 375° F, turn and bake for another 20 – 25 minutes, until cooked through and crispy. (The juices should run clear when the meat is pierced with a knife.) Serve.
